Margaret Wood

I have been involved with women’s development since 1994 (30 years). For the first eleven years I was programme director for women’s courses in a large Government department. Since becoming self-employed, I have continued in this area and from 2017 specifically focused on the effects that menopause transition has on women’s lives and careers.
I work with women and organisations to explore the challenges that women face during menopause transition and beyond, supporting them in implementing strategies to overcome those challenges and encouraging them to continue to reach their full potential.
Menopause is still largely misunderstood, particularly the ripple effect that it has on relationships. Men can be left blindsided, struggling to understand the changes their partners are going through potentially leading to frustration and distance.
My purpose through The Time for Change is to move the narrative from being solely a ‘woman’s issue’ to something that impacts everyone.
